AGC’s Guide To Thriving in GR

Don’t even try to tell us you are bored in Grand Rapids.

One of our most well kept secrets at AGC is that we LOVE to have FUN! Okay, so maybe that’s not a secret… but it is the truth. Which is why our team jumped at Kat’s brilliant idea of putting together AGC’s Guide To Thriving in GR for one of our clients.

Even though it pains us to admit, our final days of nice weather and warmth are quickly approaching. To help you squeeze the last yummy drops out of summer fun, we want to share this guide with all of you, our work besties. Whether you are based in West Michigan or looking for a reason to visit, this guide is full of good vibes and FUN!

Here’s just a taste of what’s inside:

Check out our favorite, yummy brunch spots (but make sure to get there before Vanessa finishes all of the mimosas)! You do not want to miss the Breakfast Empanadas at San Chez Bistro, the lattes and pastries at Field & Fire Cafe, or the Matchbox Poutine at Matchbox Diner. A new team favorite is Social Misfits.  Vanessa recommends the Lemon Lavender Soda + Son of a Biscuit Waffle (you’re welcome).

Plan your next cocktail bar crawl- there’s a place for everyone! You can enjoy the chill and cozy atmosphere of the new GRNoir over a glass of wine paired with live jazz music. Or check out the speakeasy-inspired bar, IDC, overlooking Monroe.

Even though it’s summer, we know there’s still time when you need to GSD. We got you covered! Visit Switchback Coffee– you can enjoy a cup of coffee, enjoy their outdoor seating, and maybe even catch a glimpse of the AGC team trying to take some group photos for the socials. For the nightowls out there ( we see those late night emails 😉 ), stop into The Bitter End Coffeehouse– open 24 hours!

There’s a never ending list of great spots to eat in GR, there are even a few on our list, but none gets the AGC team more excited than Luna! Enjoy the best tacos, tortas, margaritas, and salsa flight in town. Oh- and don’t forget the flan!

Last, but certainly not least, let’s get moving! Head out to the pickleball courts at Belknap Park. Need to set up a match? Abigail and Greg are always ready to go. Looking for a less competitive way to enjoy mother nature in GR? The trails and beach at Millenium Park are waiting for you.

If you do happen to stop by any of these spots, take some pics and tag us on the socials. We’d love to see you having fun! Thanks for letting us be your tour guides.
